We serve non-profit and academic institutions, libraries, museums, public agencies and private individuals in New England and across the country. Over the past year, Larry Bauer and the staff of Solomon+Bauer+Giambastiani Architects have joined and become fully integrated into Schwartz/Silver’s practice. SBGA’s more than forty years of experience working with museums, religious institutions, and colleges and universities, strengthens Schwartz/Silver’s practice in those areas.

Our diverse body of work strives to create meaningful architecture that respects history and context while also being worthy of its own place in time. We frequently work within historic landscapes and campuses and often are asked to renovate and add onto historically significant buildings. We have won the American Institute of Architects National Honor Award – the highest award the AIA gives to an individual building – seven times, and the City of Boston’s Harleston Parker Medal twice.
