Schwartz/Silver’s expertise in higher education dates to 1993 and the American Institute of Architects’ and American Library Association’s recognition of our MIT art and architecture library with the National Award of Excellence. Since then, we have completed more than twenty-five projects for institutions of higher education, and many more for primary and secondary schools. Schwartz/Silver’s style of practice works especially well with academic commissions and their multiple constituencies; and our highly collaborative approach – where a wide range of client groups inform the process – has had an exceptional record of success.
