Ameer Musa

Designer

Raised in sunny Puerto Rico, Ameer moved to New England to study Architecture at the Rhode Island School of Design – snow and all – and graduated with both a Bachelor of Fine Arts and a Bachelor of Architecture. At RISD he developed a strong interest in adaptive reuse and the integration of sustainable systems as a means of reconnecting fragmented communities. In practice, Ameer loves working on projects that revitalize historic buildings and spaces in disrepair, hoping to create thoughtful and engaging public environments. At Schwartz Silver, Ameer has contributed to major renovations of historic structures at Yale’s 87 Trumbull Street and the Wellesley Town Hall. He has served as a guest critic at the Rhode Island School of Design and the Boston Architectural College. And, when not designing, Ameer likes to read science fiction and expand his record collection.
