Robert Silver
Founding Principal, FAIA, LEED AP
Robert’s first degree was in physics, and, in a burst of uncharacteristic indecisiveness, he applied to graduate schools in both architecture and astronomy before making a choice based on his love of building things. This should have been clear; in high school he had more fun grinding mirrors and building telescopes than using them. A Founding Principal of Schwartz/Silver, Robert leads the firm’s quality control efforts and provides technical support on all projects. He reviews construction documents, writes specifications, and provides guidance in difficult construction challenges. He has been a Board Member of the Boston Psychoanalytic Society & Institute, the New England Baptist Hospital, and the Newton Upper Falls Historic District Commission. He is a Fellow of the American Institute of Architects.
