House on the Cape 1
House on the Cape 1

Cape Cod, Massachusetts
The landscape of Cape Cod is generally flat, with expanses of low-growing scrub pine. This weekend house was designed to appear to float above the vegetation and make the most of dramatic views across the bay, while its gray shingles and white trim anchor it to the architectural context of the Cape. The house is organized with the principal living spaces on the second floor, to take advantage of the views, with guest quarters on the first floor below.
